Funny signs at the store
Posted by Steve Kremer in ** Funny Pics **, Strange True News on December 6th, 2008
Visiting the local Meijer store this week I observed two interesting signs. At the end of one aisle in the home section I saw this “Hottie Alert” sign at a red tag clearance price. Not many “hotties” alerting folks to their presence with a sign I guess so they had to clear ‘em out.
In the grocery section I found aisle number five marked “Water – Wine”. The sign struck me as biblical. I could imagine two employees talking: “Maurice, check aisle five, we’ve got a bearded guy in a robe changing water into wine.”

This is a 100% real picture. Not photoshopped. I ran across this at the Indiana State Fairgrounds parking lot. Someone took and old Indiana Department of Corrections bus and re-painted it. Click here for the full size version.

Walking thru the local drug store I happened on this package. I understand they want to emphasize that it is an all natural fruit thing. But they make the woman look like some plant alien from a Sci-Fi movie. Click here for the full size version…
Back to Blogging
Posted by Steve Kremer in Assorted Nuts on April 13th, 2008
After off and on blogging since 2002 I have decided to give it another try. Recently getting on Twitter has got me thinking about writing again. A fresh install of WordPress and here I go.
First, a little about myself…

This is the blog of Steve Kremer. I’ve been creating online stuff since September 10, 1995. That’s the day I launched JokeWallpaper.com. I updated the site almost daily until 2002, when I quite frankly ran out of “the funny”. The site was sold to its current owner in 2006. They added new wallpapers and have a link to most of the old JokeWallpaper site. I have a link to an archive of original JokeWallpaper.com site exactly as it existed in 2002.
Over the years some of the most popular areas of the sites include; my parody of JFK conspiracy theory Elvis Shot JFK We Have Proof, my humorous comment on Microsoft and their attempt to dominate software with Microsoft World Domination 99®. Over the years I got a few cease and desist letters from lawyers. Eli Lilly didn’t like my parody of Prozac called Prozac Seltzer. “Feeling a little depressed and sorry you ate that extra bean burrito, take Prozac Seltzer the first Antacid/Anti Depressant”. I also received a letter from a Netscape lawyer and from UPS. I turned the tables on the UPS lawyer and got him to send me an “I love NY” T-shirt.
Along the way the site was featured online and in traditional press. Here’s a link to the old Press page, but most of the links are outdated and dead. My friend John Hargrave of the very funny site Zug.com wrote this article for the UK’s Channel 4 on the early days of humor on the web. I was honored to be in this group of early sites. So, I hope you enjoy the new blog. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to click the “comments” button or e-mail me at kremerblog (at) kremer (dot) com.
