Photography

The cameras of my life. The upper left is my Grandfather Alexander Maitland Comb’s from the 1910’s. Upper right is my first camera an Argus 127 that I got for my 10th birthday. Lower right my 1974 Nikon Nikkormat FTN 35mm with a Nikkor 1.2 50mm lens. Back in the day I did Kodak Tri-X 400 and my own darkroom.  Now I’m digital with a Nikon Z6, Nikon D3300 and Adobe Photoshop.

My latest pictures and short videos are on my Instagram account.

The Early Days of The Internet

I bought a copy of  the book “HTML for Dummies” and started making Web sites. My JokeWallpaper.com site went online September 10, 1995. It was one of the first humor sites online, and the top trafficked from ’95 thru ’01.  You can see an archived version at http://www.JokeWallpaper.com

I started out in local radio and TV news then discovered the Internet.  I’ve been involved with nine different startups.  Some defunct ones you may have heard of include iProperty, Vontoo, and ChaCha Search.  I co-founded SteadyServ and invented the iKeg system.  SteadyServ has been renamed BrewLogix.  The video above was produced by Intel, a technology partner.  It’s a little dated but gives you the idea.  All my other professional stuff is on my LinkedIn.
