Christ of The Ohio — Troy, Indiana

Herbet Jogerst, a german artist sculpted this statue out of concrete and terrazatine. He finished it in 1956. It was commissioned by Dr. and Mrs. Nicolas James.
The statue weighs 6,200 lbs and stands 19 feet high
The statue is to commemorate the river men who have plied the Ohio river in bygone days, the river men of today and the river men of the future. As well represent peace for all who see it.
